Cleaning / Descaling
The harder the water in your region, the greater the risk of limescale buildup in your appliance. If you have hard water, it is highly recommended to clean / descale your appliance regularly.
We also offer a special descaler / cleaner for macerators.

The harder the water, the more often your macerator will need descaling. Water with a hardness of 12 to 30 °dH (German degrees) is considered hard. This can not only damage your macerator but also other appliances such as taps, dishwashers, and washing machines.
⚠️ Do NOT use products like toilet duck or bleach to descale your macerator!
These are corrosive and will damage the rubber components and pump housing.
We have developed a special macerator cleaner / descaler that is safe and effective.
Routine Cleaning of Your Macerator Toilet / Pump
For regular cleaning, you may use a small amount of bleach, vinegar, or all-purpose cleaner, as long as it is well diluted with water.
Descaling Instructions
SEPARATE PUMP:
Switch off the power to the macerator.
Pour half of our cleaner / descaler into the pump.
Add 3 to 4 litres of water and let it sit for several hours.
Switch the power back on.
Flush twice.
TOILET WITH BUILT-IN MACERATOR:
Pour half of our cleaner / descaler into the toilet bowl.
Add 2 to 3 litres of water.
Flush and immediately unplug the macerator as soon as the water starts flowing toward it.
Let it sit for several hours – for example, overnight.
Plug it back in.
Flush twice.

Blockages
Use the macerator only for its intended purposes.
The macerators we supply are designed exclusively for:
1- or 2-ply toilet paper
human waste
wastewater from a washing machine, shower, or dishwasher.
❌ Never flush wet wipes, moist toilet paper, 3- or 4-ply toilet paper, kitchen paper, tampons, sanitary pads, etc.
These items will cause blockages.
⚠️ NEVER use toilet unblockers!
These will damage the internal components and may cause malfunctions or leaks.
